RISE San Diego has touched many of our employee groups from those who provide direct services to students to those who manage teams. Though uncomfortable at times, they’ve used gentle and firm hands to nurture and challenge our growth as professionals, and ultimately in ways that impact the human condition. As such, I am always looking for ways in which we can partner because it’s hard to imagine any quality work being done without the work that their training provides. RISE Consult takes a comprehensive approach to organizational and leadership development from an adaptive leadership perspective whereby novel innovations around diversity, equity, and inclusion are brought to work. We help translate theory into action and invite deep inquiry into challenging problems. We take seriously the complexities that organizations face and foster inclusive action that is grounded in racial equity and social justice.

The RISE Consult team has significant training, facilitation, and consultation expertise to partner with workplaces looking to foster true diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our team has delivered thousands of hours in training and consultation with organizations large and small, alongside accomplished C Suites and every level of staff, board, and volunteers. No matter the type or size of the company, we have found that the most successful partnerships are built off of true collaboration and individualization. For us, that starts with listening to understand. 

At RISE Consult, we take a holistic approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training. Far too often DEI  Training is offered as an “add-on” that is separate from the leadership development of an organization. We believe in racial mindfulness that embraces our common humanity strengthens our ability to sustain learning and brings about meaningful shifts in culture. We custom design our approach with you from a menu of elements we see as essential to transform organizational attitudes and behaviors.  

All training sessions are experiential and specific topics are selected in collaboration with your team. Our training experiences include small group breakout discussions, and potential role-play activities, alongside mini-lectures and pre-reading for shared understanding and language. Participants will be able to do personal identity work and examine systems as a whole to better inform a new strategic direction and cultivate a more inclusive culture.
